A little late to the party, but I picked up a PO with blue dial in 43.5 mm a couple of weeks ago. It hasn't left my wrist yet! VERY accurate!

My personal opinion, but the 43.5mm is a gloss dial and, for me, it's a lot harder to read in the sun. My vote would be for the 42mm

Save a bit more and get the 43.5. The end links make it fit nicely on a wide range of wrist sizes. The METAS movement is extremely accurate, while the ceramic dial and Liquidmetal bezel take it a couple steps up the ladder from the already excellent 8500.

I recently sold my 8900 black dial and am already considering another.
Hi bud all the 8500 are ceramic bezel and liquid metal the last few years anyway best regards from England
