I purchased a Locman on Ebay. The seller stated that it was a gift from a wealthy friend whom he was visiting in Italy. No box or papers. The city where I live does not have a Locman dealer or I would have taken it in. I would greatly appreciate any help authenticating this watch. Thank you.

New Locman Sport Chronographs are advertised for $200 so $50 for a used one seems about right if it works. I would not spend any time authenticating a $50 watch after the fact. If you like the color and style then have fun!!

Pretty difficult to "authenticate" as the brand uses parts that are not very expensive. If the caseback can be opened, we would have a better idea, but not recommending you open it yourself. A local repair shop or watchmaker could easily open it and let you know, based on what is inside...

I've owned a few Locman's, albeit their automatic models. I have never seen a knockoff, but anything is possible I suppose. Traveling in Italy this summer, just about every jeweler you pass on the street carries Locman as it is an Italian brand. Knowing what I know about the watches I have had from them, nothing jumps out at me as being not authentic.
