Hi

found this bezel in a box of parts, I tried to google the del and part and sku and came up with nothing. It looks used so possible not from that package as well but it does feel and look high quality, the sku does look similar to omega skus but I don’t recognize the bezel.

Hmmm V e r r y i n t e r e s t i n g!

I thought I'd try the same thing and got
Bing - nothing
Google - This very thread but not the cousins link.

So it does appear to matter which search engine you use, and also how you position your tongue.

^^^ Your'e a smartass. One of my breed.

I was thinking about the same experiment but didn't try it.

For the kids in the cheap seats, go to CousinsUK.com, click on their PDF Downloads and use the search tool. It's amazing what you find. Try searching on "Omega Working Instruction 40" and going to the third page of answers (it is referenced in many Omega Tech Sheets, so it goes to the back). It's titled "Rules for Lubrication"; a very informative document.

As you now know it's a bezel (part of a bezel at least) from a 1660177 case. This watch is also known as the "SHOM" by collectors.

It appears to be the old damaged bezel, missing the insert, that was removed when the bezel was replaced with a new one. Not sure it has much value, since you can't get the insert separately, which is why the owner of the watch likely had a new bezel installed, and the watchmaker kept the old one.

Cheers, Al

I was using google.ca (Canada) and also got nothing :) ... google being biased against Canadians?

Thanks everyone for the replies.
