Hello,

Bought these 2 watches in a poor condition so I can start and mend them as a hobby, but after opening them and started to think of the age I started to wonder if they have Radium Lume. Searching with Google didn't help at all and now here I am asking some advice from people with experience.

Well I'm a beginner and I don't really know how to differentiate lume, if it has or hasn't.....what should i look for?
Lume generally has a coarse, matte appearance. Healthy photoluminescent material will be a lightish colour (white, beige, green). Burnt-out radioluminescent material will be medium to dark brown, sometimes with faint burn marks around the edge. Old lume dries out and crumbles, so it often is uneven with pieces missing.

What I can see on your dials is polished metal hour numbers and markers with nothing painted on them. The hour dots on the Pobeda look like black printing, but if you can get a sharp close-up in bright light, we may be able to see more.

Thank you for the help! From what I can see both have just some plating on the numbers, the indicators are the same and some paint. Here is a close-up for Pobeda and also the Wostok, maybe I missed something.

I think I will also drop by the fizica university and check it with a Geiger counter, just to be safe in the next days. But i already feel so relieved now😅
