You may want to consider something other than the alpinist strap, unless you’ve already tried it and are ok with it. It’s a commonly held opinion that it is pure cardboard feeling trash. Looks nice but is highly uncomfortable and cheap feeling.
I remember hearing this about some of the original SARB's (Cocktail time comes to mind), but I had hoped they would have improved...
Owned the alpinist, and to say the strap is "pure cardboard feeling trash" isnt doing it justice. The alpinst strap is a smoldering dumpster fire of week-old diapers.
Look for an aftermarket strap; I like Tuns Leather on Etsy.

It is an abbreviation... I forget exactly for what...
I've understood it to mean a genuine manufacturer item—in this case, a genuine Seiko strap (not aftermarket)
