I know this feature is very useless and on simple watches as dumb as it can be. I had few and by riding to work on motorcycle i was going for about 5000-8000 steps. It was long commute and there been enough bumps there.

Many are surprisingly cheap
Like Casio below which is only 22$

The problem on some is that you can't reset the counter manually to 0, and it only resets at midnight. Which is problematic since they can add up just riding in a vehicle.

I use a simple digital step counter instead.

It's just to create thread with some different watches. Sure dumb pedometer on non smart watch will show outrageous results given a chance.
I think they could be 0-d at least on some models.

Not exactly what it i thought but let broaden it to fitness/GPS and call it a day!
