Okay @Chronopolis, this level of creativity made me deeply uncomfortable but I strayed out of my comfort zone and made one that is not a clone of an existing Seiko.

Still shaking

In all seriousness though, pretty happy with how it turned out. Might need to swap the seconds hand for something that pops a little more but I love the brushed bezel.

I order a MM200 case with the bracelet, 73 € is really affordable. I didn' t choose the dial for instance.

my spb185 mod with an explorer dial is made with the same case/bracelet
good quality for the price

there is a titanium version but more expensive and "gun" color

don't loose the "pump" there are specific to the bracelet. with others it's not correctly fixed to the case ;)

''fit nh35''
Hi
Sorry the model is SPB317 my bad and if you look at pics of it the numbers on the date wheel are arranged so they appear vertically in the window at 4:30. To my eye using the nh35 with crown at 3.8 will mean they will be perpendicular to the centre line.
My query was, is there a modded calendar wheel to correct this? I've searched extensively and come up with nothing.

That's a skinny Willard (or whatever you wanna call it) clone dial. The OEM watches most likely have custom printed date discs. Both 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock standard discs wouldn't have the correct vertical orientation at 4:30. You'd have to use the OEM part.

Latest completed project:

Seiko 5 7s26-8760 case cleaned and lightly polished with new glass and seals

Seiko 5 7S26-09F2 movement dropped in (used the 8760 stem to match the movement and case)

Leather strap from the bay

I think it captures the low-key classy aesthetic of an old-school 5. I like it!
