Hi Guys,

I have been pacing the hall all morning waiting for my new watch to arrive and her it finally is...

and with the others...

Its a Stowa Antea Jubilaum LE from 2007, No. 54/80. I believe 40 black and 40 silver face watches were made. Unlike most Antea this one has no date and no numbers which I why I fell in love with it, and although 39mm it wears very large 9seems nearly as big as the MO, which wears huge!).

Thanks

Rich

What! What's this? I've never even seen this. What a great dial. Excellence! What does the back say? Where did you find it? It's really nice looking. Congrats 10x over.....

The dial says 'Jubilaum 1927-2007' and the back says 'Antea Model, Museum Edition, 54/80'.

I believe an even more special version with a durowe moement was also made, but I am happy with my eta!

Very nice collection! I have my heart set on an Airman, but seeing those pictures is making me reconsider if it's the ONLY Stowa I want...

Great catch, Rich.

...and an even better addition to your great selection. Must be fun deciding which one to grace your wrist, eh?

Thanks for the comments guys! It is starting to get tricky deciding which to wear! I have also got an Airman Original on order (no.436) but since placing the order for that have had to scratch the Stowa itch with the MO and now the Antea.

I wonder if I can fit in a Black MO before the Flieger as well??....Or maybe send the White MO to Jochen Benzinger??...

Rich, please forgive my ignorance, but who is Benzinger? And why would you send an MO to him? Does he specialize in mods? -thanks

Hi Wolfjohn,
Jochen Benzinger is a German Engraver who specialises in engraving and Skeletonising mechanical watch movements, with absolutely beautiful results. It would however cost the same to have done as buying a Black MO!! But something I am considering, to personalise my MO to wear for a special occasion. If you Google Jochen Benzinger you should find his site so you can judge for yourself.

Thanks

And we thought that there was a long wait for the AO

Oh to be able to afford something of his! (Or a Grieb & Benzinger!!!)

I've always wondered if you could send something to him as I also thought about sending my MO in for some work. Of course, I thought it would be far more expensive than the cost of a new MO.

Don't get me wrong, that is a lot but I thought it would be at least twice that amount. May need to consider it!!! :-!

By the way, AWESOME watch, Rich! Congratulations and enjoy!

Great looking watch you have there. I'm finally expecting an Antea Creme mid-June.

Looking at your pics helped calm my anxiety a little. :)
