Hello folks:

I did my homework and, although I found a few treads here with some related subjects, there's none with the specifics I'm looking for:

Automatic watch with power reserve indicator (at ultra affordable price ;)).

Those're pretty much the only conditions: affordable automatic.

For me it does NOT matter origin, brand, size, color... It gotta have a power reserve indicator and it canNOT be a hand winding or a quartz (i.e., eco-drive).

Please give me some specific directions; please don't tell me go "search eBay" lol; just tell me something a little bit more specific lol.

Thank you all in advance.

Yes, you're right, my fault.

Let's define what I consider super ultra affordable in this case: the closest to $100 it can get (even lower? lol).

Basically, the cheapest automatic watch with a power reserve indicator I could find available in the market. And again in this case, by cheap I really mean cheap, including cheaply made (it doesn't matter to my purpose and intention in this case). Let's think I want to take it apart ;)

Any suggestion is a good suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: did I post in the right theme forum?.. I hope so lol ;)

I think the ship has sailed, but for anyone else interested

Draken has two models that have a PR... there are multiple variations within each model, but I've just selected one image for each below.

Yes the dragon is the Power Reserve indicator. Pretty cool...

Cool large Power Reserve arc above the pinion. Larger watch though...

That first one has got to be the coolest implementation of a power reserve indicator that I've ever seen. Too often, PR indicators just feel tacked on and can clutter up the dial. That's a really novel and fun way to do it.

Hi folks:
Even I already bought a couple of PR indicator watches, I'm still looking for the cheapest PR indicator watches on the market. I found an automatic Forsining with PR indicator, put it in the shopping basket, just ready to PayPal it when I read the whole illustration again while PayPal was loading and... pushed the brake pedal to the metal when I saw a fine print on the lower hand-right side of the picture shown below reading "Power Reserve - Decoration, has no function" :( I couldn't believe it, and I wonder if anyone knows if this Forsining model has a functional power-reserve indicator, or it's just decorative as the vendor states. You may think 'well, it reads so', right; but it's not the first time I find vendors copying and pasting or carrying on information from a different item.

You can ask me questions and/or suggest other brands or models, but before you derail from my main question I'll briefly explain you why I'm looking for the cheapest PR indicator available:

I don't intend to wear this watch, I actually want it to use as a real tool: to compare and measure power reserve in other automatic watches with no power reserve indicator. So, basically, I'll use it as a meter, not as a watch itself. Therefore I don't really care about any other characteristic of the watch like case material, glass type, transparent caseback or anything, as a matter of fact, I don't even care about the time indicator hands, just the PR indicator is the only functional hand I need. All I really want in this case for my specific purpose this time is a real automatic power reserve indicator tool watch, that's all.

There're several vendors offering this same watch model at slightly different prices, but I don't know if there're in fact any differences in the movements inside the watches from different vendors. I'm assuming they all have the same automatic movement inside but I may be wrong, I don't know enough, sorry.

Now that you have the full picture, please let me know if you know that the watch pictured below has a real functional PR indicator, or not.

Thank you all in advance.
