Commemorating 20th Anniversary of 9S Calibre.

Twenty years ago, Grand Seiko introduced 9S calibre, an entirely new movement designed from scratch from the beginning and new on all levels. This movement meant to be the cornerstone for all movement, all mechanical watches in GS collection. The movement is back to the conception of simplicity, reliability, and accuracy.

For this year 2018, Grand Seiko launched a 20th anniversary of its signature movement, Grand Seiko SBGH267. It has 39.5mm case size attached to a stainless steel bracelet. The dial is radial pattern, presented in dark blue colour. The Grand Seiko Hi-Beat SBGH267 is regulated to -3 to +5 seconds a day, which is a Grand Seiko standard.

The difference from the precious metal model is found in the rotor. The rotor is only found in Grand Seiko limited edition model, with see through back case. Shaped like a spiral, the rotor is made of titanium on top and tungsten weight under. The striking blue finish is the result of electrolysis of titanium which create a oxidized layer that is blue.
