The current year is an exciting year in the history of BASELWORLD. Not only is the new hall complex designed by Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron being inaugurated on April 25, but the first edition of the BASELWORLD Brand Book is being published too.

This illustrated volume gives unique insight into the world of watches and jewellery and also constitutes a "Who's Who" for this versatile industry.

In the Faces chapter, some 60 eminent characters from the watch and jewellery industry set out interesting impressions of their brand worlds. These distinguished persons include Marc A. Hayek, Thierry Stern, Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. Their interviews are accompanied by aesthetic photographs, a number of which have been taken exclusively for the BASELWORLD Brand Book.

The Brands chapter focuses on more than 200 internationally renowned brands, such as Omega, Breitling, Louis Vuitton, Mikimoto plus many more. The result is an impressive portrait of a versatile industry. The reader obtains exciting background information and learns more about the remarkable developments and key moments that have led to the most well-known watches and items of jewellery.

The BASELWORLD Brand Book is rounded off by the Trends chapter, which looks into the current and future trends and designs in the industry.

The BASELWORLD Brand Book is being published for the first time on April 25 at the World Watch and Jewellery Show and, in the following months, will be presented in exclusive lounges all over the globe. The Brand Book can additionally be read online or with the BASELWORLD Brand Book iPad App. Both versions contain exclusive video interviews and additional photographs illustrating the most familiar names of the watch and jewellery industry.

Compiled by leading watch and jewellery journalists, including Maria Doulton, Simon de Burton, Elizabeth Doerr and Alex Doak, the comprehensive Brand Book marks an impressive experience for the reader over more than 550 pages. A must for every watch and jewellery enthusiast!

We hope you will enjoy the BASELWORLD Brand Book.
