Once a shopkeeper pressed my watch buttons, including Mode multiple times in a short burst, without waiting for the specific mode to finish (the minute or hour hand will usually rotate).

I wondered will this affect and damage the watch mechanism inside?

If you exceed button-press intervals shorter than 0.25-seconds, the G-Shock will reach a critical mass, creating a black hole. If you do it next to a forest fire, while driving at precisely 88 mph, you can go back to the future!
