Properly Sizing the Oyster Bracelet

So, a couple of weeks in with my new Explorer and I've realized the bracelet is just a tad too loose.

Wrist size: 7.25"
All bracelet links being used (12)
Easylink clasp set on tightest setting.
Bracelet won't fully turn on wrist. But can slide index finger underneath it fully.

I have difficulty getting the watch to wear centered on the wrist and was thinking of removing one link under 6 o'clock position and moving the easylink clasp to the loosest setting (subtract 10mm and gain 6mm, 4mm tighter).

I should also note that I have a flat wrist with very prominent wrist bone.

So, what's the general rule or advice on which link to remove and how loose/tight is accepted.

My rule for where to add or remove links is to see where the watch head sits when the clasp is where it naturally wants to be (i.e. where it best conforms to the underside of your wrist). If the watch then sits too high (i.e. away from you), remove links from the 6 o'clock side and/or add links to the 12 o'clock side (depending on if you're trying to resize or not). If the watch sits too low (towards you), do the opposite.

As far as how loose or how tight is accepted, only you would know what you find acceptable. Some people like them very tight, others very loose.

I read on some site when I got my Explorer a few weeks ago that the rule is to not wear the watch too close to the wrist (where your wrist bends with hand movement) but above that bone that is near your wrist, and that you should be able to fit a finger through the bracelet while wearing the watch.
