"The Multi Field Line has a waterproof performance of 20 atm and is suitable for various outdoor scenes such as mountain climbing and trekking, fishing and canoeing. The new work is "PRW-70".

"Metal layer structure compact case" with resin case sandwiched between metal bezel and lug integrated case back. In pursuit of robustness and a sense of quality, a significant downsizing has been achieved. The case size is 51.1mm x 49.9mm x 14.5mm. Compared to PRW-7000 , the case diameter is smaller by 7.6mm (case thickness is the same).

In addition, it has a competitive triple sensor (altitude / barometric pressure, azimuth, temperature), multi-band 6 (six stations worldwide) compatible radio clock, tough solar, STN liquid crystal, -10 ℃ low temperature resistance, etc. Not gorgeous specifications. In terms of functions, it is equipped with bearing memory, tide graph and moon data display, fishing time function, automatic needle position correction function, neon illuminator, pressure tendency information alarm, etc. The band is a slide lever type that can be easily replaced."

They are quite expensive though. Casio yet again priced themselves out of some potential buyers... My reply from another thread below.

According to G-Central:
PRW-70-7JF (68,200 JPY including tax)
PRW-70Y-1JF (74,000 JPY including tax)
PRW-70YT-7JF (104,500 JPY including tax)

Only the PRW-70YT-7JF has sapphire crystal. Other 2 models are still not so cheap even without sapphire.

Also no mention of sunrise & sunset time display, but hopefully that's included too.
Thanks! Rough MSRP guesstimate in dollars below.
PRW-70-7JF (> $650 USD)
PRW-70Y-1JF (> $700 USD)
PRW-70YT-7JF (> $1000 USD)

That's quite expensive. Probably a long wait for it to drop below $500 in street price. That is before short supply and high demand drive the price up again. Looks like my pipe dream of having something similar to the 7000 but affordable will yet be still a dream. ;-)

I wouldn't count them out just yet. The prices for the prw-50/60 dropped pretty significantly and fast. They can currently be found around $220 on Amazon.
