Hello,

Posted this in watchmaking but thought I'd add it here as well.

I’m putting back together a Komendarski and I’m stuck on the seconds hand. I can't get it to seat properly. It’s springy when inserted and pops out.

Does anyone know how it’s done?

thanks

The second hand pinion is held in place on the back side by a thin brass plate instead of a bridge. You must figure out how to keep this plate from moving when pressure is put on the dial side of the pinion as is necessary for setting the second hand. One way is to tape a small thin piece of cardboard over the plate to prevent the movement away from the front.
