Hello everyone. I was searching about SSSR watches and just found this forum. I'm a newbie to watches and don't have a lot of knowledge. I want to buy this watch for a friend of mine as a gift, he is a history fan and I think he would really like an SSSR watch although he is not a watch enthusiast now (I think once he gets one he will become one). So I need help about the watch on the photo, it's from a local seller but this is the only image I have (from the listing) but I can ask for more photos if needed. Is this a good watch, is it genuine and is it a good idea to buy it? The price is around 50USD.

I chose this one because of the green and the cyrillic date (we also use cyrillic alphabet so it's not a problem).

Hello and welcome! It is a Slava from the 80s and the price is Ok but the watch is not in the original configuration. The dial is in English but the calendar is in Russian. The hands are also from different watches (Hour hand is way to skinny). No good. A Frankenstein watch. Avoid!

Very rare and nice looking Luch but the case and crown are wrong. It needs to be in the old (early) gilded case with legs rounded when looked from beneath and standing luch small crown.

Raketa Big Zero pocket watch listed for $100.00 USD most information I could find on the Big Zero references the wristwatch. Seller says its accurate to ± 30 seconds per day. It looks like it matches though I am not sure and would rather defer to this lovely group of experts. Thank you.

it looks legit. The balance bridge is replaced (used an old one with a beveled edge). The rest is Ok.
