Thank you for the help. Would a replaced balance bridge be a concern as far as the movement's ability to function properly?
No. They are fully compatible.
Ps heres a pic of the movement

I think it is Franken. Old case, newer movement.

Do you think the dial is original? It looks very old. Im also okay with a newer movement assuming it keeps the time better than an older one.

yes, the dial is 100$ original. But my personal take: the watch is quite used. The crown is badly used. These watches are notorious for being difficult to wind even with a new crown. With this crown I am almost certain you will struggle each time you wind it. These watches are quite common. Branded as Seconda, Carnavin or as Luch. One can find a new one (yes, new) for about 100$. I sold several and they were for sale for weeks! (one for 80$ another for 115$). Here are the photos. Unless you can get this for 25$ or so my question is ‘why buy this one?’ For just a few more $ you can get a much better looking one.

Dash has this on his website:

I haven't had a chance to look for the catalog entry, so I don't know if either of you have the right crown, but Dash is in most cases correct. Red second hand is IMHO not right. Many people took the gold ones and painted them red, it was a "thing" in its day. It looks like that's what happened to this one, so if you can strip the lacquer without damaging the gilding underneath it would be ok. Movement is correct. Personally, would skip this unless cheap and you feel like taking on a project.

i bought it already (around $50 i think i paid) and its fine as it is in this state, a nice classy timepiece and the red painted second hand adds a cool detail to it (didnt know that!)

Does anyone know if this is legit? Hesitant to pull the trigger on these chronos. Also does it look to be in good shape? The dial looks to be a bit pockmarked. Not sure if it's a good buy at $600.

The 1960 catalog confirms your thoughts that the model shown should have a gilded second hand; it also looks very nice with the red though. :) It could be a second hand replaced with a red hand from a Kirovskie model. The black dial version has a red second hand.
