Hi Guys,
I received a brand new BN0000-04H in the mail on Friday. I have noticed that to screw in the crown only takes about one turn after the initial push in of the crown. Does this seem correct to any other owners of the watch.
Thanks,
Barry.

I just checked mine. It screws down w/3 thumb turns. So, it's definitely more than one full turn. For comparison, the Nighthawk screws down w/2- thumb turns.

Do you guys push the crown fully in? What I mean by fully in is when you push the crown, you feel the initial resistance. And then wiggle the crown a bit and the crown goes down a bit further.

Indeed I too push it in fully. I noted that myself actually that when you push it in and then wiggle a bit it goes right in and at that point it takes one turn or less to get the crown down tight. On the topic of wiggling I posted another thread relating to lateral play/wobble in crowns. I note that there is very little play in the BN0000-04H crown, there is some obviously as with all watches but you have to look closely to see it. The other thread is also about how tolerant watch crowns/stems would be to say the lateral pressure caused by a thumb slipping off the crown accidentally when pushing down the crown or simply lateral pressure when screwing down the crown in any way. If yer interested its at this link.

Well I decided to return my BN0000-04H in the end guys. Things just did not add up. I know it has a short crown but mine was short in the extreme. It was taking less than a half turn to close it down and then the slightest turn would open it again. Also what alerted me to the problem was the fact that I noticed that the crown could be pushed all the way in to the closed position with no resistance from the threads. Examined it under the loupe and the threads just did not look right. Returned it yesterday so now comes the wait for return shipping and refund.

Just curious but did you guys with crown issues buy from AD's, or gray market resellers?
I bought mine from an authorized dealer Princeton Watches. Mine screws down w/3 thumb turns and it feels solid.

Sorry for late reply guys. I bought mine from an AD in Hong Kong but had it shipped international to me. Because of that it only has the one year warranty from Citizen but in fairness to the AD they are being very good about the return.
