I was wondering if anyone knew if replacing the FOIS's case back would make it any slim-er. Are there other official Omega case backs that could thin out the watch, even by a tiny bit? Thanks so much for the help.

I don’t know the answer to your question. While I don’t have the specs of the Speedy Pro vs. FOIS up in front of me, aren’t the thicknesses the same? I haven’t heard of any mods that thin out the Speedy and I’ve owned a few of the last several years.

I currently have a FOIS and I wouldn’t trade this case back for a marginal thickness savings of say 0.5mm or less.

I agree, not sure you would notice/feel the thickness difference.
I woul change the caseback for aesthetic purpose, like having a see-through, but not to save a few tens of millimeters on thickness.

I don't think it will make much of a difference. Apart from that, it will be pretty hard to find one that will fit the FOIS

It’s such a unique case-back - something to admire.
