Hello! For my first WUS post I'd like to get some extra information on this watch:
-SeaGull USA
When I first saw the watch Tissot's Le Locle came to mind, and after further research I found that Tissot has indeed helped SeaGull with watch design and that this particular watch is inspired by the Le Locle. I think it looks very nice and most everything I've read about it has been positive, so unless I am able to find an automatic with similar styling, size, and affordability, I will most likely buy it in the near future. I would love to get the Le Locle but being a beginner watch enthusiast (dont have many watches and dont know a lot either) my budget does not extend even to 400 usd
So here are my questions:
1) Can anybody attest to this watch being 9.5 mm in thickness? Pictures I have seen online make it look larger than that.
2) How many ticks does the second hand make in a second? I know some watches make 6 ticks/s but after watching this vid I'm not sure, but it appears to be 5 or 6 to me. Seagull M 186 R Watch Review - YouTube
3) Will the strap fit my small wrists? ~6.5-7 in
4) While the Le Locle has a silver face, the description of the M186R says white. What material does SeaGull use for this watch's face? White plastic or something a tad more classy?
Those are the main things I'm curious of. If anybody would like to add any general insights I would gladly welcome them as I am, as I said, very new to mechanical watches/watch movements.
Thanks!
