Setting up for Mexico: discovering new horizons.

The Belgian Watchmaker Raidillon sets out for mystical lands, to reveal a country passionated about watchmaking, vintage racing cars and their many classic rallies: Mexico.

Raidillon Maya Chronograph belongs to the Racing family and bears the «Swiss Made» label, always and exclusively limited to 55 Masterpieces.

Kukulkan, the Mayan Feathered Serpent god, an imposing symbol of this culture, marks the start of the inspiration for this iconic model. A black dial embellished with snake scales sets the scene. Three different counters and gauges with different sizes and measures recall the dashboard of vintage cars, as does the orange of the small hands. On the flange, dots and lines indicate the numbers 1 to 10 using the Mayan civilisation’s number system.

The 55, invariably located at 11 o’clock as a symbol of the brand, is placed on the dial instead of the flange, in order to make way for the «designed in Belgium» mention at 12 o’clock. The bronze of the index and the circumferences of the counters has been chosen to give the chronograph a noble look.

With attention to every detail, the Belgian Watchmaker makes an exception to the traditional perforated sport strap by placing the watch on a plain model in python, with matching stitching to enhance the beauty of the scales of this majestic fabric.
