I heard about this issue and given my intention to use it as a daily beater, I took the risk of getting the moonswatch (well, my uncle did, since I got it from him as a gift).
Little did I know, however, that my moonswatch chronograph pusher would shear off, after 3-4 months of just normal uses.

Yes, I do intend to attempt to file a warranty claim. I contacted swatch via email, probably also give them a ring on Monday, as I intend to ship my watch, if I can. After all, too much drama to drive all the way to vegas to claim warranty for this watch. Even though the watch was bought in Korea, given I have proper paper and receipt, I am hoping that I will be able to smoothly claim this issue as a warranty.

I will update the forum members here on updates, but if you do not mind, I have to say, "****..."

For any other members here with swatch warranty claim (esp. moonswatch pusher issue) experiences, feel free to share your words of wisdom.

I understand **** happens and I did know moonswatches have build quality of tesla, but damn. Hope this proves to y'all that unless you live far away from a swatch store to justify shipping+tax, moonswatches are NOT worth paying the hype and premium for (they are still cool though). Thanks for listening to my rant.

How could that happen to mighty bioceramic?? 😂
Maybe because it is bioceramic. I assume bio means decomposable, and my exposure to water, earth, wind and bodily fluid may have contributed 🤷🏻 to its early demise…
Maybe shud have been non decomposable plastic…

If that's because it lost a chrono pusher, I'd say you should extend your claim to the "genuine Moonwatch" too, as I've seen fallen pushers on them too.

I have got a whole drawer load of Swatch and I wouldn’t use them as a daily quite honestly.

With this pusher thing I’m sure it will be resolved under warranty.

I have not been able to buy one for myself yet (just the pink one for my wife), but I have seen them in the store, and I must say: they all looked so much better in real life than on interweb photos. I wouldn't mind owning at least half of the collection.

Cross sections that work in metal are not going to work in plastic, by replicating the dimensions of the Moonwatch they have ended up with something less durable. If it was designed to suit the material then it would not look like it does now, but would have chunkier buttons and that would have defeated the purpose.

Are you implying that these anecdotes do not represent the true quality of Swatch? Do you think Swatch offers value at this price?

I saw a video of the teardown of the movement in this watch and it could not have been made cheaply. Real movements have bridges held in place by screws, this guy has bridges pressure fit onto plastic pegs. Plastic gears- you betcha. I don't think you have to gather data on failure rates to judge quality. I also think it's funny how people jump to the defense of Swatch while they would absolutely roast a Chinese watch of similar quality.

Jupiter. My uncle calls it a daiso watch and i wholeheartedly agree. A cool daiso watch, however, like the happy meal pokemon watch that i considered cool back in my kiddy days.

on the meanwhile, 🍿 on the argument going on about swatch hating.
My take on the moonswatch (any swatch) is that it is junky, but fun fashion piece to wear carefree, like akio toyoda driving a yaris as a daily.
In this case, even if i got it gifted by someone who can spend 6 figures on watches, i guess i am just annoyed by the fact that it broke too soon, even though only way this watch will be replaced/repaired is by warranty claim.

fyi i have seen many of these(more than cpl) button pusher failures, from youtube, wus, reddit etc. interestingly, good 60% of em happened to be jupiters, like mine

Never owned one or had the desire but is the pusher a plastic piece that broke or just fell off? Can it be screwed back in? Or glued?

To the people saying there are other options which are cheaper and of higher quality - yes, that’s true. Though sometimes you pay a higher price for a logo even if it means it’s an inferior product. A $10 Hanes basic black tshirt could be made of higher standards than a similar $25 Calvin Klein one.

Plastic that sheared off. Probably can be glued, but given my dexterity and anticipated bureaucracy with swatch cs, intend not to do so for now.
I agree on the high logo and hence my rant is on omega forum, thanks to omega having its name on it (no swatch forum here, and i have seen previous simialr post under omega sub forum as well here). I do hope omega does give second thoughts on the swatch collaboration in the future, esp on quality.

On one of my forums, a member posted that he was going to wait in line and pay the $300 or whatever and buy a Moon Swatch. I told him he could get a Pagani Design Moon Watch for $120 on Amazon and have it in two days. He waited in line, and they must have had 20 watches at the store because 90% of the people left empty handed.
Moon Swatch: Case made of castor oil and ceramic something or other, plastic crystal, $7 quartz movement (think they could have used something better), looks like it came out of a Happy Meal box, if you can get one.
Pagani: SS case, ceramic dial, sapphire crystal, $20-35 Seiko VK-63 Mecaquartz movement, looks like a moon watch, Easy to buy, no lines, Can get them for under $100, but I bought mine to prove a point, don't think I've ever worn it.

I had the top pusher button fall off my 18K Mont D'or chronograph. Had to send it to Switzerland for a new button, took over 3 months and $350 for that little gold button. It happens.

After years of experience in watch repairs I can say that pushers break on every watch brand, and the vast majority of problems happen when the pusher is banged against something, whether the wearer remembers hitting it in something or not. I’m guessing that is happening with most of these stories. I own 4 of these toy plastic Moonswatches, know many others with them and lots of customers with them amd have never heard of a problem. Doesn’t mean freak things don’t happen. Just my observations. If you like these watches, buy one and enjoy it. They are great.

As an owner of a 2018 Tesla Model 3, I respectfully disagree with your disparagement of Tesla quality. Now if you wish to compare this to
the 1976 Alfa Romeo I unfortunately purchased in 1976, I would concur. I suspect this watch also matches in quality some of the
watches offered at the Wish app for $3.99.

In an Owner of 2020 model 3. I had the power seat button fall off on my first week of use, which was warranty.
I am happy with my car, and still recommend a tesla for ev, but i do must say build quality of these cars are definitely subpar, if you are coming from the likes of japanese or german cars. In fact, many tesla owners around me all say the same thing, when it comes to the build quality.
as far as your alfa comment is concerned, i agree wholeheartedly.
