Rare Bucherer 7000 3-Register Automatic Date - Day Chronograph - $700

This is a very rare, very nice 1970s vintage 3-register automatic chronograph from Bucherer, Switzerland's largest Rolex retailer.

The watch features an all stainless steel hidden-lug cushion case, with screw-down stainless steel case-back. The case-back reads:

SWISS MADE WATER RESISTANT INCABLOC ANTIMAGNETIC STAINLESS STEEL 7000

The dial is a dusty blue colour and in perfect condition. The sub-register hands and hour & minute hands are perfect and accent the blue dial beautifully; the chronograph sweep-seconds hand is in contrasting orange.

There is an aperture for quick-set date date and day at 3 o'clock, and a tachy register around the outer edge.

The movement is a Bucherer-signed Valjoux 7750 automatic, running about 30 seconds slow per day, which could be adjusted out pretty easily.

The watch is in good-plus condition. The case has been lightly refinished, with a matte top surface, and high-polished sides, but still showing signs of use. The crystal is very good to excellent, and all its functions are spot on. The chronograph hands properly re-set to zero.

Currently fitted with a new 22mm medium blue leather strap.

This is a chance to own a rare one . . .

$700 plus actual carriage.
