Seriously thinking about buying a ray 2 in blue as my new daily watch.

And add a sapphire crystal to it if the original mineral crystal gets scratched up.

Building a new diy pressure tester for it after the crystal change...

I am coming from a 38mm tag 1500 series quartz that I've worn for the past 25 yrs as my every day watch.

I did a quick wrist measurement and it looks to be 7.25" and seeing youtube videos of the watch, I should be able to pull it off.

I want a watch with a screw down crown which eliminates the seiko 5 dive offerings.

I have the Ray II and love it. If you want sapphire crystal then save up for a blue Kamasu. Same case and movement but different indices. The Ray II looks great on a good NATO or an aftermarket bracelet. My wrist is just over 7 1/4 and the Ray II fits well, doesn't look oversized.

I too have the Ray II with blue dial and it is my daily casual watch. I love it. Bought it with a double sapphire crystal installed from Long Island Watch. It is gorgeous, Orient does blue dials exceptionally well. I also have a 7 1/4 wrist and I think the watch fits well.

I’ve got the Ray I and am very pleased with them. I’ve no doubt that the Ray II will be every bit as good (if not better) so I would have no hesitation in going for one.

I am a recent convert to Orient.
I love the blue dials that they make in all models.
Sure that you will be chuffed with whatever you settle on. Good luck with your purchase.

I think for Canadians, the ray 2 and a diy upgrade to sapphire crystal will end u p cheaper than a Kamasu.

Amazon Canada has the ray 2 for $193 cdn which is a steal, can't find the Kamasu online in cdn $.

Plus I get to 'mod' which has a little bit of appeal to me,

Ray looks better than Kamasu imo because of round hour marks, but regardless get one you like bssed on looks because if you upgrade to sapphire you will be around same money mark

I keep wanting to buy a Ray II, but then I end up buying another Mako. I have 3 Makos.

One day I will get a Ray.

About 6 seconds fast after the 1st 24 hrs.... Compared to my phone.

19 seconds fast after 2 days, wearing it about 16-17hrs per day.

20 seconds fast after 71hrs.....i put it mostly crown down on the night stand last night for 7 hrs overnight.

I have a Ray II and it is one of my most worn pieces. I pull it off on a 6.5-6.75" wrist so you will be fine. The lug to lug is only 47mm so it wears a lot smaller than it actually is

I agree. The Orient divers wear very small; perfect for my 6.5" wrist.

happy to see the new colorways; red, green, blue MOP. I'd like to see an orange and/or yellow dial (homage to the M Force) and a white lumed dial (homage to the OSD & Mako XL)

BTW, latest check of my Ray II; ~ + 1-2 sec./day, which trounces my Helm Komodo NH35 (+12 sec/day).
