Can you tell us more about this watch?

Where did you find it? Guy on a street corner with a sleeve full of watches or a high end store? If online, what site?

What is the seller's reputation? What other items are they selling?

BTW, there is no such thing as a knock off. A watch is either real or it is counterfeit - in this price range, selling a counterfeit is felony fraud.

I found it online and the seller has no other listings and no reputation. The account was created this year and the item location is in France apparently.

The lack of feedback is what's really giving me pause.
I’d walk away

buy the seller.

I have asked the seller to provide more information about the watch including the place of purchase and the serial number.

I'll see what they say and update the post.
real or fake, I wouldn't want a watch where the hour hand isn't set properly, like this one. Its set to 9:05 and the hour hand isn't even up to the '9' position, its short of it.

Lol I take back what I said... that absolutely means it's genuine.

Isn't the text for "OMEGA MASTER CO-AXIAL 8900" supposed to be red? Looks black in photos, but could just be the lighting.
What is the asking price? And that hour hand being off should be a nonstarter on this sale

buy the seller.
I'd go further.....Run, Forrest, RUN !!

Keep shopping………
The listing has ended now anyway, but it seemed too good to be true for a genuine automatic seamaster to be listed for less than a quartz. I wonder if someone bought it or if he pulled the listing after I asked the questions.
I saw that some guy on eBay. I was wondering what the risk is... If it's fake you get your money back... But it might take a while.
The applied Omega logo definitely looks wonky.

A week ago I took my new Omega out of the box and the box looks 100% legit. Watch looks pretty legit too. But then again fake boobies look real on the internet!
It appears fake. The bracelet endlink ears look wrong, the movement blued screws look almost black, the engraved omega and stainless on the case bottom look too light, and as mentioned, the hands are not set correctly. I wouldn't touch this with a 10' pole.

One of the reason I asked "what site" is because if you found it on a place like Facebook, Craigslist, Kanjiiiiiiii and all those other "I'll sell you my handmade coffee cup and my used tires" then there is a very high probability that the watch is fake.

If it is on eBay and the seller mostly sells little crap and then this, then it is most likely counterfeit.

Regardless of authenticity, this watch has a significant problem. It isn't a rare watch so you'll find another.

As far as pricing is concerned, it would need to be ~$1000 cheaper than identical watches to account for the required $750 plus postage Omega service - but at $1000k under normal value would probably make it suspicious.

If real, then the seller needs to send it to Omega for a service and include the service documents.

Yes, it should be red, but I guess it just looks black in the photos.
The balance wheel looks black like its proper silicon. Most fakes i have seen have a metal one. I emphasize "looks" because who knows with lighting

Edit: also not the end all be all. Cant authenticate with pictures even if some fakes can be called out with pics
