Hello,

I cam across a Miles Davis chronograph Tonneau I want to buy but, and I'm questioning the authenticity. It looks real, but it doesn't have the red rotor. Does any one know if them made them with out the red rotor? I have tried to research the year it came out. I know they started the red rotor in 2002 but done know the age of the watch. Please help and thank you in advance.

Hi Mike, Before Oris introduced the red rotor in 2002 their watches had gold or silver rotors. I can't find when your watch was first introduced but all the photos I've seen of it have a red rotor. Post some pics of the front and back of your watch.

That was during the crossover period and so could be legitimate. With that said, the early red rotors had paint flaking issues so a non-red rotor is probably a safer option anyway.
