Any help?
Some more info from your good self first of all would be of benefit.

  1. Are you interested in purchasing the watch?
  2. Is this just one of the many of late 'real or fake' quizzes?
The chap sells watches, offers a money back policy and is a power seller:-s

I've been shopping around for a vintage omega and am wondering if you guys think that any of these are good deals. I really like all 3 of these watches but am new to the timepiece world and dont want to get stuck with a watch that is worthless.
Here is my take on this.

Every once in a while a new member joins the forum and asks about a specific watch or watches he is interested in purchasing. What usually happens is that people are happy to respond the first time and offer advice. However, if this is repeated without any input on the side of the OP, then a perception develops where people see the OP asking for information without offering much in return.

My suggestion would be to ask more specific questions regarding a specific watch instead of posting links to a few auctions. You would be best served by asking what to look for and then reading up on this, so you will eventually be able to judge for yourself. Once you have gained some basic knowledge and can post more specific question, I think you will find people will be more inclined to engage in these types of posts.

My 3c.

Thanks for the advice. Here are a couple of questions about the deville
1. Is/was the one piece case common with the deville?
2. Are all devilles manual movement?
There were/are literally hundreds of Deville models and they came in many different flavors. Only of few of these were unishell cases. When it comes to the Seamaster Deville models from the 1960's, most of these were unishell cases. Also, these were both manual and automatic wind.

Some of the classical automatic examples are 165.002, 166.002 and 14470.
