Hello,

I've got a Recta pocket watch that I would like to replace the movement on.
The movement has been raided for parts prior to my ownership and therefore I would like to replace it.

Can anybody point me to anywhere where I may be able to get a movement?

I've seen Recta movements on eBay, but they look different and I don't know if they will fit.

At this stage, I don't even know if the movement in my watch is original, so I'm not opposed to fitting a slightly different (Recta) movement if it will fit without modification of the case.

I've attached some photos for you to look at.

Thank you.

Hi,

It looks like Recta A or Recta B1 depending on measurements.
What is wrong with it? Looks original to the case.
Hi,

Thank you for the information.

It's missing parts, jewels are missing and some are smashed, balance is broken, no escapement. That's what I've found with a quick look.

I figured it would be easier to fit a whole movement in this instance.
I just can't find one!

These are in house calibers and not so common.
If you will ever find a working replacement it will probably be not worth it because the donor would possibly be in a better shape overall :D

This is what I'm thinking.

Is it likely that any recta movement will fit the case, hands and dial?

I found a site that has two Recta A variants that they are parting out, I have no idea if that is the correct caliber of your watch or if the parts will work but it's a place to start.

welwynwatchparts.co.uk - type Recta into the search function

Good luck!

Thank you very much!
I will have a closer look and send them a message.

Thanks for pointing it out.
