Total Newbie to G-shocks. Old hand at Seiko Divers and the like. I have an ana-digi GW2500BD and as we all know the LED is very hard to read. I love the watch and it is the best travel watch I have come across in my opinion. I ordered from pac parts the LCD displays of the GW2500B. My normal watch repair guy who has some but not a lot of G-Shock experience thinks the swap may work. Thoughts? IF so, any recommended repairers out there? Sorry if I should have searched before asking. I did spend some time looking around and did not come across this. Finally, I'm looking to pop in some sapphire while I have it in the shop. Doable? EDIT. SORRY. I MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECT IN THE TITLE SAYING THE 2500BD IS LED, IT MAY JUST BE COLORED LCD OR SOMETHING. I KNOW SOME OF YOU GUYS GET PARTICULAR ABOUT THIS KIND OF THING. LETS JUST SAY CRAPPY RED BLACK DISPLAY WITH REGULAR LCD DISPLAY.

It might be much cheaper to just reverse the display. It looks like it's a standard negative display LCD, and any LCD can be reversed by detaching the polarizing layer and fixing a new one that is turned 90°. I have never done this, but there are some threads around here about doing it, with a great tutorial for the DW-5600.

But this might be pretty involved on an Ana-digi. I dunno.

First of all, thanks so much the reply. The parts were actually pretty cheap from pacific parts - Like $18 shipped or something. Ordered and should be on their way soonish. I will look into the process of reversing the polarizing layer too.

You're welcome. Wish I could provide more assistance. I'm sure there's someone around here who has done some mods on an Ana-digi who can provide more help.
