Worker,
i guess you read to keep away sunscreen an bug-off off your watches resin parts. that is correct as teh ingredients can damage/destroy/discolour the resin.
The sunscreen in Vinylex is not harmful for plastics as it is designed to be used on them. As UV is one of the main reason for plastics and resin to age, sunscreens are a good idea in specially formulated products.

Good to know about Vinylex. It seems like a more affordable and accessible solution than Meguiars rubber and vinyl restorer.
I'm going to get some and start treating my older resin bezels and straps with it. Unfortunately, my DW-5700ML was too late for it...
Just like it happened to LUW, as I was holding the resin after it being wet from a wash, the existing crack ran to completion and a big piece fell off, then broke in half. It's almost like water becomes the nemesis for old resin, causing it to fall apart on contact.
Anyway, I'll have to just be patient and keep my eyes open for replacement candidates. The Brazilian copies are OK... the "REM" and "LIGHT" labels won't match but with the paint removed it'll hide fairly well. Meanwhile, at least some of the 5600 bezels can fit. It'll look a little odd, but better than nothing!
