Hello,
Can anyone recommend resources for trying my hand at basic mechanical watch maintanence? I have some cheap mechanicals that I would like to keep running for a long time. I think Taking them to a professional watchmaker might not be worth it, considering the watches are less than $70 each. I'm not looking to build a tourbillon, just basic cleaning and upkeep stuff. I have no training or experience but I am a little mechanically inclined. Thanks!

The TZ watch school as mentioned above would have been my recommendation as well. Also check out the wachtmaking forum here on WUS for tips. There you will also find experiences people had with the TZ watch school, tips for purchasing tools and more.
