Hi.
I am absolutely newbi in the watch-world.
From my father i got this watch about 30 years ago.
The Glass was broken, and he was going to throw it away. But instead i put it in shelf, and forgot it all.
Now i wonder if i should use any money to put a new glass on it, and offer it a service and cleaning.
Any advice tips from anyone.?

Best regard
Kairo

Welcome to Watchuseek and congratulations on a good watch! You are lucky - after all that time without a crystal, the dial isn't damaged. I am not sure what a new crystal would be but I think it shouldn't be more than 20 Euros extra as part of a service (which the watch needs anyway). Well worth the cash for a functional mechanical watch - all the more since it's an heirloom.

Nice watch, and well worth having serviced. It is a "compressor" case, designed to be highly moisture resistant. The model is fairly uncommon.

A Great watch! Well worth of restoring even costs more than Hartmut's 20 bucks. This is a treasure, not just an another old watch.
Yes, it does have EPSAs Compressor case. I do have one with center seconds movement (Phenix)
Here's mine.

Thank you for all answers om my post.
I have sent the watch away for a new crystal and full service. I also asked for a light polish and light refresh of the dial.
I will show you photos when it is back

Thanks

Yes, genric metal bracelet does not do any favours to the watch. A Dark brown Hirsch Merino would be grand!

Hi.

Hessu, i actually looket at your watch earlier, and agree that dark brown leather is nice on a watch like this.

Perhaps a nice tan leather or maybe even a tropic rubber strap to be a little avant-garde.

Nice clean watch!

Virtually any strap would be absolutely fine with style and dial. Totally up to your preference.
