Richard Mille brand partner, polo player Pablo MacDonough, has been victorious in Palmero (Argentina), the most prestigious tournament in the world.

On Saturday December 12, Pablo’s team, La Dolfina, entered the history books after winning the final, the Triple Crown, for the third year running. Unbeaten in three years and 35 matches, La Dolfina has now surpassed the record that was set forty years ago.

Lead by Adolfo Cambiaso, La Dolfina came up against Ellerstina, just as they did a year ago in the same final on the very same field. The tension between both teams was palpable from the outset, with players on either side battling it out to secure the first point in a highly competitive match.

La Dolfina was the first to score thanks to some remarkable teamwork from Cambiaso and Stirling. La Dolfina kept its advantage over its rivals, leading 9-4 at the end of the fifth chukker. Just when the match seemed to be a foregone conclusion, Ellertstina managed to get back into the game and it looked as though the situation was about to change dramatically. However, La Dolfina, backed by the talented Juan Martin Nero and Pablo MacDonough, kept their eyes on the prize. Both teams displayed great determination, but the desire for victory driving Pablo and his team enabled them to win the final 13-12 in the eighth chukker.

As always, Pablo wore the RM 053 Tourbillon watch throughout the tournament. The timepiece, limited to just 15 watches worldwide, has a barrel-shaped micro-blasted titanium and titanium carbide case, specifically designed to withstand the extreme impacts inflicted during matches, the watch was made in collaboration with Pablo Mac Donough to be a rugged companion for every competition.
