Re: RLT 62 - affordable true 24h quartz watch from England
I had the old case RLT24 watch and it was a lovely watch, I sold it recently to a member of another forum. I personally really liked the old cases he used much more than the current ones but seeing this one in the flesh I have to say its quite a nice piece. I have not even seen one on the RLT site that someone has purchased.
Most of Roys watches are on a short supply and when the cases or dials run out then thats that until the next design comes out so you do get a pretty unique watch. Thing I do like about Roys watches is he tends to make something a bit different instead of your usual bog standard divers, dress, aviator, pilot watches (Granted 2 of his new ones are just that but look at the others with the sub second) Some of his old ones are very similar to Ollech & Wajs watches and I wouldnt mind getting one of those in the near future too.
As someone else said contacting Roy can mean you can get a customised watch (Change of dial colour or have something different printed on the dial, change of hands etc)
Nice little 24 hour watch you have there. Like I say, mine had differnt hands and case which I think made it a little more military looking. Also the seconds hand had a red tip on it which was pretty cool. Yes they are very limited water resistance I wouldnt shower with one on. I do like his leather watch straps but I took mine off and put it on a nato. Looked the part on that one too.
