just saw roger waters' "wall" concert at the berlin wall from the early 90's. he's wearing a great looking watch. also saw a photo of him wearing what appears to be the same model. anyone know the make/model or have a good guess. i'm guessing it's not a knock off!

I have seen many photographs of Roger Waters over the years where he is wearing a Rolex (not sure of the model) on a Jubilee bracelet. I can't speak for The Wall in Berlin. I saw the live broadcast on British television back in 1990, but I don't have the DVD.

Here is a photo from a quick web search I ran this morning:

Interesting thread.
Nice pic there Martin of the genius himself.
I destroyed many a brain cell with his accompaniment in my misspent youth!

Tell me about it, John! My favorite band. And nice to know that when it comes to watches, Roger has the same dubious taste as you and I.;-)

I called "misspent youth" learning experiences, nothing wrong with a good learning experience! ;-)

Back in 2003, I was lucky enough to go see him in Copenhagen. We went with the secretary of his manager, so after the gig we jumped in one of his people carriers and headed back to his hotel for a few drinks. The police escort across Copenhagen city centre was one of my outstanding memories - jumping red lights, everything.

And despite being one of the most successful rock musicians in history, he is a ruthless card player...o|

wow! i'm new to the site and i'm glad the thread proved interesting. i'm a bit photo/computer challenged. use my pc and the wife's apple as a crazy diamond type of typewriter. thanks to martin (?) for the pic. in the wall dvd his watch looks a tad thicker. i could be wrong. being a late model baby boomer (vintage 1961) i've had some err perception issues as well.

Roger Waters on CBS "This Morning" just now. Totally engaging, and wearing his signature slack bracelet Rolex.... looked more Oyster perpetual than Sub. When the interview was over he was encouraging the hosts to extend it...perhaps until after lunch. I would have taken him up on that offer...what an interesting human.
