I know that it's possible for a rubber strap to come off due to it gripping and compressing the spring bar. In fact, I've done it just to see if it could be done. How much of a concern is this? I know drilled lugs and shoulderless spring bars are a solution, but my Citizen diver does not have drilled lugs. I'm currently using a Bonetto Cinturini 306 rubber strap with my watch and I like it a lot, but I'd like to assess the risk. I'm not interested in a NATO strap.

I would not worry about it unless there is a fault within the lugs or springbars. I think this is the exception, not the norm.
