It's a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a service guide or tech manual for the Ruhla/UMF caliber 26 electro-mechanical movement? I got one in the mail today and I'm trying to troubleshoot it.

Thanks!

Regrettably, I think it may be a lot of a long shot. Is there any way you could maybe post your request on the German forum? Meanwhile, and although not really helping, this may give you some other possible avenues: Newport - Electric Watches

Regards, and good luck.

PS. If you come across a balance staff for a cal. 23-32 in your travels, I'll be all ears!

Du bist willkommen, mein Freund (and I'm afraid that's about my lot). Let me know when you've passed all your grades!

Well, I'm going to end up doing a full translate a sentence at a time with Google, then putting the whole thing together into a document with the pictures from the original.

Then I'm going to take a crack at fixing it myself. Might have to make friends with the local shop to "rent" time on his parts cleaner as I don't want to keep the chemicals in the house with two little ones. At worst, I know electric-watches has a whole stack of them he got NOS, so I'm not destroying the last vestiges of history.
