Even though i like these releases i think they should slow down a bit and make sure to get every release right on first try. I’d like to get the Speedy chrono copy but because they’re releasing so much the thought comes up what if they’re going to do a smaller black bay chrono or a daytona i may like more or later on do a better upgraded version. The pagani design approach of copying everything makes me hesitant to get anything and has me wondering if quality and qc isn’t going to go down.

I agree with you on this point, I would preferred if they could of done a V2 of the Vintage GMT, or even an upgraded SN0019 instead of releasing a new watch every couple of weeks.
Their BB Chrono is maybe discontinued, it's not listed anywhere anymore !!!!

I don’t know where i read it but i read the bb chrono will be back in stock somewhere in april. It’s still on their Aliexpress page as well so I don’t think it’s discontinued.

Those Speedmasters look sick, and I'm not even a big Speedmaster fan. Mechaquartz and lower price and I'd get one. But ST movement..so saves me money haha

The PRX I find odd. It will probably cost the same as the Tissot quartz version. Are people really going to pay for a knockoff just to get a Miyota 9015? Seems silly to me, personally.

Some folks just don't like quartz watches and 4 Hz is better than 3 Hz. The 80 hour reserve at the expense of beat rate is not a good deal.

Personally if I ever end up picking one of these up it would be in quartz but for someone wanting to go with automatic these offer great value.

In general I would prefer a 9015 powered watch over a quartz, but I think you're right in this case. When an homage starts getting this close to the real thing in terms of price, I'm not sure how much appeal there is for the homage. But you know, different strokes for different folks.

I would be very tempted by that PRX design with a white dial and applied hour markers outlined in black.

I am not sure why San Martin are making these when they already have the SN013G design. I would prefer them to do more dial option with that model as it has a nicer bracelet. Saying that I prefer the case on this PRX.

I dunno ... 10.5 mm thick automatic watch is out there on the quartz territory, blowing it out of the way taking into account the San Martin finishing (this is just my personal opinion).
According to SM Taobao store, the PRX will be priced at 1750¥, so basically in the 280/300$ range, that's 80$ cheaper than the PR Quartz.
I wouldn't buy it personally tho.

Oh, God. Why did they have to do this?! And with 100m WR? Why couldn't it have 50m WR, or some other feature I really hate? (I spend a lot of time in the water.)

I thought I would be done with speedmaster homages and variants when I got a real one.

Nope. The real one just made me love every other version more. (I just got an SSC815.) It's like when I take the dogs for a 5-mile walk, and they don't come back tired-- they come back rowdy and crazy, crashing into furniture and throwing shoes into the air. (And one of them is at least 12.)

IMHO-- and I don't have any San Martins, though I've looked at many and come close-- they had to do solar quartz or ST1901, there are a million speedy-like battery-quartz options. I think St. Martin will probably do a very nice job casing the seagull, and it will probably be very reliable. I have a Vertigo Pilot One with a Seagull, and it's been just stellar-- in a completely different league from my Alpha Paul Newman, which died in about 18 months.

Huh, I don't know why but those PRX rub me the wrong way. It's the first time I'm having negative thoughts about a homage. I guess it's because the original one, specially in quartz (which in my opinion is the right one to get), is already affordable enough. Like, a homage of a model or reference that's not made anymore? Sure. Even a reference still being made but it's very expensive, I get it. But a Tissot? Uhm...

I wish SM did more their own designs. Look at Maen, they have a consistent design language. SM could be like that. Sure, "inspired by", but with their own twist. It's a shame that a brand that's supposed to have significantly better quality and QC than the others from that part of the world still makes mostly homages.
