Personally, I would not get either! Like marrick, I dont know much about the Sandoz... I dont like how the strap does not match the case! for the money, I would want a original strap!
As for the seiko '5'... as I have said before, i have found some seiko owners turn their nose's up at the '5' series... Looks like an 80s example and I would guess it has a 7009 auto movement! The strap looks original and will have a simple clasp buckle!
The seiko is all the money and I would not want to spend a penny more...in my opinion....
seikos is sort of what im looking for esp with it been made in japan, sounds daft but i own a british movement and swiss movements so would be nice to have a movement made in japan. And at a great price for some great looking pieces. not bothered about chronograph as i have a great one. I do like the last seiko in your pics and dont think you are railroading my thread more pics the better.
not vintage... but you can get these for around £30 (this sold for £43 and I made good profit on it!) 7s26 movement - very good movement!!
That said, I had to pay extra to get my SKX007J (which has the same movement) which was made in Japan... (the J on the serial number indicates it was made in Japan - a lot of modern Seikos are made out of Japan - the serial numbers will finish with a K or P if made out of Japan!
Not that you are after a watch like this... but its my favourite Seiko
