I have recently got an O&W Cougar3.

Although the crystal is very clear, when veiwed at a certain angle I can see very tiny concentric circles of light reflected, extending out from whatever side of the bezel I'm looking at the watch.

It looks somehwhat pretty .. but is this normal?

I have tried to photogragh this phenomenon but its impossible

I don't recall ever seeing that effect from a sapphire or mineral crystal. I assume it has something to do with the way the crystal was cut.

I remember getting freaked out by this occurrence one day on one of my divers, can't remember which now, but it was sapphire and I saw the concentric circles. It could have been some kind of reflection of the chapter ring, which on my watch was stainless. I looked very carefully after I noticed it, in the fear there was material on the inside of the crystal but saw nothing, even with loupe. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
