What do you guys think? I LOVE the 36mm, the case, the water resistance, the 18mm lugs, the thinner case….

But that cream dial just calls to me.

Which would you pick?!

Easy. The SBGW231.

Why? Easy.

You have to manually wind it. Easy.

But - if you want to wind it easy, you get the SBGW231.

The SBGW291 is NOT EASY to wind. It is a hassle due to the small crown.

Neither of them is limited edition, and I think the last year of releases strongly suggests we will be seeing more references in both form factors. So if you're torn, perhaps keep waffling — something might come out that pulls you to it (or pushes you to one of those two)!

Have both the SBGW235 and the SBGW289 for reference. Although I enjoy the smaller dateless 44GS case as well as the eye catching dial, I seem to wear the 235 more often as I find it more versatile. Also the crown on the 289 is terribly small and it's much less convenient to wind it in my experience

I love a 44GS case, but in overall 231 looks much better.
