Hi,

Trying to find info on a "ROMAN" watch, it's kind of a nightmare since search engine are confuse with Roman numerals.
Face is mark "Made in USA", movement is mark "Swiss made".

Any idea someone ?

BTW, since I'm new on the forum if it's not the right place to post, just let me know.
Thanks.

Cleaning ? I'd say it needs a complete overhaul incl movement which to me seems to be made by Adolphe Schild, AS 1048 or something similar.

Thank you.

Bought it at the thrift store for 1$,

Thinking about practicing my "screwwdriver" skill...

Try our Vintage forum. Lots of knowledge there regarding old and obscure watches.

If you've got any photos of the case (and any markings thereof), that would also help.

Looks like a 1940s movement. Roman was a brand of the Timor Watch Company (registered in 1936.)
