Newbie questions

I have purchased a Seiko 789 and a Seiko 793. Both beautiful watches.
I was trying to learn about best practices with regards to winding:
1. What is the proper movement for winding (or does it not make a difference). Do you just move it up/down (direction of 12 and 6pm)? For how long?
2. If the watch is not stopped, should I still wind it a little at the beginning/end of day?
3. Is there any benefits of keeping a watch I am not using winded through the use of one of those winders online?

Thanks

swirl it in a circle when u need to start up. but honestly i don’t think it would hurt the movement if you do any crazy things to it

Just twirl it gently to get things moving if it's dead then let the rotor take over and earn its keep. Letting the watch 'die' between uses will not harm it.
