Seiko SFR234. It does resemble the cartier tank series of which I am quite fond however can not afford. So I am considering this seiko knock off as it is affordable. I don't currently own a leather strapped watch nor a quartz so this would be nice to have. What say you? Good idea? Anyone own or have any knowledge of this? Any reviews etc?

Thanks

Please ease-up on the use of the word knock-off. While there are design similarities, it is not a knock-off. Also, Seiko is far from the only watchmaker using a similar design. Also, while I don't know this for sure, something tells me that Cartier is not the original designer of this watch style. I do have a question though, was Cartier actually ever a watchmaker or just a luxury goods company?

Anyhow, if you are referring to this watch:

It's a common design with a relatively inexpensive, bulletproof quartz module. No one of Seiko's high end products, but I can't see how you can go wrong. I would imagine that you can find it for considerably less than the $150 Amazon is asking for it, if you exercise some patience and take your time to search the internet.
