I am going to chime in on the side of Seiko. I have Seiko quartz watches from the 1970s and 1980s and also newer solar quartz models. Each one is accurate and reliable. My current favorite is a quartz diver from the 1980s.

I also have a Citizen Promaster Tough which I like except the seconds hand never strikes the indices spot on. I have seen this on a few other Citizen quartz watches and it drives me nuts.
