Seiko SRP77X - bezel replacement issue

So I just purchased a coin edge bezel for my new turtle from Yobokies and am having the hardest time getting it on. I'd heard that the SRP's bezels are are a bit harder to change out. Have those that had done this before been able get it on without tools or did you have to use a watch press?

I used the original bezel gasket so I don't think that could be the issue. Any help is appreciated!
