Brand new SNE498P have two lines on dial. Excellent QC there seiko

Sorry, but I can't see the "ugly lines" you're referring to in the video. Can you post some photos after cleaning the watch face with a microfiber cloth?

I can see one of the lines but it's difficult to see with the dirty crystal.

Its not a QC issue. Its the seams in the 3 section solar panel design.

There was another thread about those seam where somebody thought they cracked a dial after bumping the door with the PADI version of the watch.

I'll give you $100 for it!! Kidding. That is not a defect. As PiquetPolo mentioned, those are the solar cell segment lines showing through the translucent dial. Gotta charge that sucker somehow. Enjoy your watch; it's one of the good ones.

issue solved. it is solar panel lines, not defect

I've had 2 different SNE's, both have segments on the dial where the solar panels are. On blue faced it was far more evident than on the black face.
