The 42 will wear huge on your wrist. Due to it being all dial, it'll feel a lot larger than a submariner. The dial of the submariner is similar in size to the 36mm datejust. That tissot will wear more similarly to a 45mm diver than a 41mm submariner.

Would it be bad if I say that probably either will wear as comfortable as the other? I think 39-42 mm is your sweet spot. I’ve tried that in the past with watches between 40-42 mm and I’ve felt that way…for me, it comes down to looks, so do whatever it takes to try both if this going to be your daily. Feel and look both, and then decide. It is the only way for you to later clear your mind from the usual dose of “what if”?…good luck! That ML is beautiful

It's a cool watch. I tried one a while ago but it wasn't quite what I was after. The 39mm suited me best (6.75" wrist, 6ft, normal build) and the bracelet and bezel made it wear a bit larger. Also its pretty dressy, unlike a diver or chrono, so I found it more suitable in the smaller size.
