I scratched the hell out of a brand new Patek the first day I bought it. My wedding ring put a huge gouge in the case back. Didn’t take a photo of it but since then I either take off my ring or go out of my way to make sure my ring and caseback never touch.
Nice! What model? I have a soft spot in my heart for watches like this that have stories. Patek is no different than any other watch, meant to be used and loved.
I don't think a watch is officially yours until you put your first scratch or ding in it. That is how the relationship goes beyond the sum of it's parts. Each ding or scratch now tells a story. Congrats on your first blemish.
Fine timepieces are meant to be worn. In this digital world, they remind us that life is more than just screens.
