I have bought a Silco 15 jewel watch, in mint condition. I cannot find anything about this Company, so I imagine it has gone out of business and probably Swiss.
Can anyone tell me about this Company or a “ link” to read up about it?

Found this:

Silco
S. Kocher & Co. AG
Grenchen, Switzerland; registered in1935

Many thanks. I will try and follow the link. You might be interested in this. I bought a stop watch on eBay nearly 10 years ago. The history and photograph described a WW2 story. The owner said his Father had arrested 2 Germans in a railway siding, photograph supplied on eBay, and had taken the watch off them. It looked right, and I did enough research to send a photograph of the watch and the serial number to a german University, and a Professor replied and confirmed it was made in Germany in 1944 and issued to there Airforce. A navigator was issued with it.
my Silco is a modest watch but I like it.
Cheers
Martin..
